Paul is a licensed master social worker. He received a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Social Work from Grand Valley State University.
Paul has experience working with adolescents and adults to treat anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, autism spectrum disorder, trauma, and mood disorders. He utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and a person-centered approach. He is also an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist.
Prior to coming to Pine Rest in 2021, Paul worked as a home-based therapist in Kent County for six years and as a case manager working with children and families.
Paul lives in Grand Rapids with his wife and their pug, Otis.
