Patricia was born and raised in Grand Rapids. She is married and a mother of three beautiful children. She received her undergraduate and graduate degree in Social Work from Grand Valley State University. Before she joined Pine Rest, she started her career in a residential setting for adolescent girls. From there she moved onto working with culturally diverse populations of children, adolescents, families and adults in group, home-based, inpatient and school settings.
Patricia cares about creating a safe and personable environment, and uses an integrative approach to best fit each individual’s needs and goals. She specializes in treating anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, anger and mood regulation problems, childhood behavioral problems, parenting challenges and relationship conflicts. She is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for PTSD.
