Nicole Schaaf, LMSW
Nicole is a licensed clinical social worker and earned her Master’s of Clinical Social Work degree from Western Michigan University. She enjoys working with children, adolescents and adults.
For the majority of her career, Nicole has provided case management and clinical therapy at agencies across West Michigan that serve victims and survivors of trauma, specifically child sexual abuse, sexual assault, child abuse and domestic violence. She enjoys providing caregivers with education and clinical therapy that focuses on how to best support and care for children that have experienced trauma.
Furthermore, Nicole has special interest and experience treating severe and persistent mental illness, codependency issues, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, family, parent and child issues, and adoption/foster care issues. Nicole primarily utilizes EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, motivational interviewing, evidence-based childhood trauma interventions and mindfulness techniques when working with clients.
