“After taking a Psychology of Trauma course in undergrad, I knew I wanted to be a therapist for individuals who have experienced adversity. I am dedicated to creating a nonjudgmental space where clients can experience genuine growth and transformation. It is a privilege to support individuals as they navigate their challenges, and witnessing their resilience and progress brings me immense fulfillment.”
Throughout the course of treatment, Nicole strives to be responsive and adaptive, modifying and tailoring interventions as needed to best fit the needs of the client. Sessions include using client values and goals as an anchor throughout the therapy process. Clients can expect a warm, calm therapeutic environment sprinkled with some dry humor.
Nicole employs a trauma-informed approach to assess and treat individuals aged 6 and above. She collaborates with clients to support them in meeting their goals, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques. She uses cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavioral, solution-focused, insight-oriented, and parent-training techniques, depending on client needs. Additionally, Nicole often incorporates mindfulness skills to provide a solid foundation for effective psychotherapy.
Nicole is a Doctoral Educational Limited License Psychologist at Pine Rest Psychological Consultation Center. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Spanish from the University of Michigan. She then attended Miami University (MU), where she earned her Master’s of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy in clinical psychology. Her research at MU explored the connections between childhood abuse/neglect and malleable factors in adulthood, such as self-compassion, mindfulness and emotion regulation. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Pine Rest in 2024 and is currently completing her post-doctoral training.
