Michele Jackson, LMSW

Michele is a Licensed Clinical Master Social Worker who joined the Pine Rest team in 2014. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in social work from Grand Valley State University. Prior to coming to the Christian Counseling Center she worked as an adolescent residential therapist at Pine Rest working with adolescents who struggle with anger, aggression, depression, anxiety, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. Before her work at Pine Rest, her professional experience included working with individuals and families through both in-home and outpatient therapy.

Michele strives to provide a safe space for clients to open up in therapy and work on healing and personal growth. Her clinical interests include depression, anxiety, behavior challenges, self-harm behaviors, trauma related issues, and self-image/self-esteem.

Michele uses a variety of therapeutic approaches depending on the client’s needs including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, strength-based and solution focused techniques.
