Matt Jachalke LMSW,CAADC, has been providing therapeutic services since obtaining his Master’s of Social Work degree in 2002 from Western Michigan University. He has worked for Pine Rest since 2010 both as an inpatient case manager and as an outpatient therapist. He currently provides outpatient therapy through the Telehealth Clinic where he works with clients age 7-55.
Matt is trained in motivational interviewing, utilizes dialectical behavior therapy strategies, and frequently practices cognitive behavior therapy. He started his social work career with ten years of crisis experience working for Community Mental Health assessing suicide risk, homicide risk and psychosis. He is invested in meeting people where they are and supporting them well as they move toward their goals.
His professional experience includes working with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and severe and persistent mental illness. He values and enjoys the challenge of family work. His specialties include trauma, personality disorders and medical concerns. He also works well with those experiencing depression or anxiety.
