Lisa grew up in the Detroit area and Amherst, New Hampshire. She then returned to Michigan where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Albion College and her Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Her clinical studies focused on working with Individuals, Families and Groups, and her Professional Practicum was completed at Chelsea Community Hospital’s Inpatient Substance Abuse Treatment Program.
Lisa has worked in the field of substance use disorders most of her career and holds a CAADC (Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor). She has worked with a variety of client populations in numerous treatment settings, including mental health hospitals, primary care, inpatient psychiatric units, outpatient agencies, schools and with the courts. She has provided therapy to individuals, families, couples and groups, ranging in ages from childhood through older adult. Her primary focus is currently working with adults 18 and older
Lisa is excited to work with clients to help them develop healthy behaviors and thoughts aimed to manage, improve and maintain their mental and physical well-being. She hopes to help her clients thrive in lives filled with passion, purpose and a connection with their spirituality.
Lisa lives in Grand Rapids with her husband of over 30 years. They are grateful for their two adult children, their third rescue dog, and their strong faith community. They enjoy traveling to Maine, hiking, kayaking, learning, exploring and spending time with family and friends.
