Faith Statement

My journey through life has been guided by my relationship with the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I grew up in the Christian church and believed in God, Jesus and heaven. I mainly attend church, Sunday school and bible study classes because it was what my parents were doing, and it seemed to be the right thing to do. It wasn’t until college, however, that I found and formed my own unique and individual relationship with God. God pursued me through that entire process and continues to pursue me to this day as practicing the Christian faith is a daily choice. My hope and encouragement comes from the goodness and grace of the Lord.

My therapeutic approach is focused on meeting the client where they are at mentally, emotionally, physically, and especially, spiritually. I encourage my clients to determine how faith plays a role and impacts their therapeutic experience. I pray that with God’s strength and guidance, I can encourage and support those who come to me in pain. It is a privilege and blessing to walk alongside people on their life’s journey and through their healing processes.

Clinician Bio

“Whether clients are addressing and understanding current challenges, processing and exploring past experiences, or strengthening tools and skills to support a healthy life and achieve lasting growth, I believe a “meeting you where you are” approach works best in therapy. I find it a true privilege to walk alongside people in their current challenges and past experiences as we work to find meaning and purpose in life.”

Lindsay’s focus is on supporting and helping individuals who are struggling to find meaning and purpose through the difficulties and challenges of life. She believes in creating a safe and open space filled with listening, validation and collaborative problem solving. She also has experience and skills to assist those wanting to integrate their faith as a significant aspect within counseling.

Lindsay takes an integrative approach that works to identify strengths in her clients while using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and person-centered therapy to help individuals strengthen their identity and live a holistic, healthy life. She works alongside clients to set achievable goals and develop skills and tools to reach those goals.

Lindsay is a fully licensed professional counselor and has been with Pine Rest since 2022. She earned her undergraduate degree from Hillsdale College in 2016 and her master’s degree in counseling psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2019.
