“As a therapist, I consider it a true privilege to walk alongside my clients in their journeys toward healing, growth and self-understanding. I love being a therapist because of the deep, reciprocal nature of the work—I learn and grow with each person I meet. Every therapeutic relationship is a unique opportunity for connection, reflection and transformation, and I am continually inspired by the courage and insight my clients bring into the room.”
Dr. Leslie R. Visser’s therapeutic approach is collaborative and compassionate. She aims to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel seen, heard and empowered. Dr. Visser sees herself as both a coach and a mentor—offering guidance when needed, but always honoring the client’s inner wisdom and autonomy. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in attachment theory, with an emphasis on the importance of relationships, both past and present, in shaping one’s emotional experiences and sense of self. She works closely with clients to better understand the “why” behind emotional responses, and begin to shift long-standing dynamics that may no longer serve them.
