“As a psychiatrist, diagnosis and treatment is my main role, but with over four decades of experience caring for patients, I also know that listening closely to a person’s life story and seeing the whole picture are crucial to successful treatment outcomes. My approach to medical practice is influenced by my love of music–as a professional musician, I must listen very carefully and play in harmony with musical ensembles. I bring this art into my clinical practice so that I can work closely with patients and truly hear their concerns.”
Dr. Probes practices with a biological-psychological-social-spiritual orientation to mental health. This often includes work with a psychotherapist. While medication management is Dr. Probes’ primary role, he often includes educational support as part of his treatment approach.
