Kristen (Beki) Torrez, MA, LLPC, is a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor and is licensed to practice in the state of Michigan. She earned her undergraduate degree from Grand Valley State University in Liberal Studies/Social Justice, and her Master’s degree from Western Michigan University in Counseling Psychology.
Beki has been working in the mental health system since 2018 and enjoys working with children, teens, adults and families. As a member of the BIPOC community, she feels right at home offering services to a diverse range of clients, including minority populations and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Beki’s previous experiences include working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault at the Women’s Resource Center, and with those in mental health crisis as a community mental health clinician. Her strengths include working with those experiencing past trauma, assault, mental health crisis, and those coping with anxiety, depression, grief, and loss.
