“Someone once told me that there are jobs, careers and callings. As I look back at my life experiences, I feel that those experiences “called” me to work with individuals who struggle with addiction and mental health challenges. I see it as a privilege to be a part of someone’s journey on their path to recovery, and improving the quality of their life.”

Kevin brings a non-judgmental, empathetic approach to working with individuals in therapy which creates a safe therapeutic environment for sharing one’s challenges openly. His collaborative approach takes into consideration each client’s preferences and goals while also providing guidance on healthy steps to consider, such as group therapy for those pursuing a life free from addiction.

Kevin takes an integrative approach to therapy utilizing CBT principles and Relapse Prevention strategies.

Kevin is a fully Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC). He received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology and his Master in Social Work from Grand Valley State University. His career started in 1999. Kevin has been a substance use disorder therapist at the Pine Rest Retreat Clinic since 2014, working in both the outpatient and residential setting, providing individual and group therapy.
