Kendall is a clinical therapist who is passionate about working with people seeking recovery from substance use disorders.
Kendall is a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC). She completed her undergraduate and master’s degrees at Grand Valley State University and has 5+ years of experience in clinical therapy in the substance abuse field. Kendall is particularly experienced in working with women as they navigate substance abuse issues, and she currently facilitates the Women’s Early Recovery Group.
Kendall believes that recovery from the disease of addiction is possible. She has knowledge and experience to walk alongside individuals as they make their own unique path to recovery, learn craving management skills, mindfulness techniques, healthy ways of coping, relapse prevention strategies, and build sober connections/supports.
Kendall uses trauma informed, strengths based, and person-centered approaches with evidence-based interventions from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and motivational interviewing (MI) to help her clients meet their goals. Kendall also has experience working with co-occurring issues, depression, anxiety, and trauma.
