Katie received her Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University in Psychology and a Master’s degree from Western Michigan University in Counseling Psychology. She completed her Master’s level internship with the Borgess Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program. Katie has worked in the field since 2016 and previously worked with Calhoun County Community Mental Health for 7 years. During her time there, she worked with those struggling with significant mental illness. She was a member of the Crisis Team and a supervisor for one of the first Mental Health Urgent Cares in Michigan.
Katie is a Limited License Psychologist at the Pine Rest Telehealth Clinic where she works with clients of all ages in areas of depression, anxiety, bipolar, relationship issues, and adjustment disorders. Katie uses a cognitive therapy approach and utilizes tools from motivational interviewing, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy, and psycho-education. Katie also specializes in psycho-pharmacology and medication adherence.
