Katie is a Licensed Master’s Social Worker who completed her education through Western Michigan University. She holds certifications in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and as a Therapeutic Trauma-Informed Yoga Educator (TTIY-E). She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults dealing with depression, anxiety, self-harm, behavior problems, difficult life-transitions, divorce/family separation, difficulties related to adoption/foster care, grief, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Katie is a certified mindfulness-based yoga instructor and loves to incorporate movement and mindfulness into the therapeutic process, offering various alternative interventions to talk therapy. She has a relaxed and client-centered approach to therapy and most often utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic, and family system approaches to psychotherapy.
