Kate Monaweck is a licensed professional counselor with over 20 years of experience. She completed her undergraduate education at Western Michigan University in Sociology. She graduated from the University of Spring Arbor with a MA in Counseling.
Kate has a passion for working with all ages. She started her career in 2000 as a Youth Specialist advancing to Family Worker, Senior Clinician, and Homebased Intensive Counselor to eventually Outpatient therapy. Prior to joining Pine Rest Hastings Clinic in 2018, Kate worked for Calhoun County Juvenile Home, Starr Commonwealth, Montcalm Private Therapeutic boarding school (Country wide and international students), Battle Creek Public Schools, and Summit Pointe (CMH). She has worked with youth, families, and adults of Detroit, Flint, Grand Rapids, Calhoun County, and now currently Barry County and surrounding areas.
Kate’s professional experience includes working with ages 7-64 who are dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, sexual abuse, grief and loss, anger, adjustments, and family issues.
