“Therapy should be a safe place to explore our personal stories, including current and past challenges, triumphs and lessons we haven’t quite finished. I enjoy the journey my clients share with me as they hone skills to create new plot twists and paths for new chapters that bring them what they desire. As with any adventure, we navigate tears and grief, but are also able to find self-compassion and–most importantly,–laughter in the healing process.

“People are experts in their own lives, so my role is to empower clients to find the solutions and tools that work best for them. My approach is collaborative and flexible based on your needs. Clients can expect to learn about how their thoughts and behaviors impact mood and decision making. We may look at the past to understand the present and move forward, utilize role playing to practice communication skills and setting boundaries, practice relaxation and grounding skills, and identify specific strategies to get needs met.”
