Kalen Sanders, PsyD, LP
Dr. Sanders is a licensed psychologist at the Psychological Consultation Center. She earned her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology through Wheaton College in the Western suburbs of Chicago. While at Wheaton College, Dr. Sanders delved into trauma and international research, working with refugee populations in Eastern Africa and ultimately completing her doctoral dissertation entitled, “A New Perspective on Trauma: A Qualitative Study on Genocide Survivors From Rwanda.” Having already received extensive training on spiritual integration within the field psychology, Dr. Sanders completed her training through Pine Rest to continue integrating her clinical training with religion and spirituality.
Dr. Sanders has experience working with children, adolescents and adults in a variety of settings, including inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization and outpatient programs. She enjoys working with individuals with a broad range of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, OCD and trauma-related disorders. She also conducts psychological assessments, including ADHD, learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, personality assessment, and diagnostic assessment.
In her spare time, Dr. Sanders enjoys cooking, traveling and exploring Michigan with her husband and their dog.
