“What ultimately drew me to the field of therapy is my deep awe for human resilience and my unwavering belief that change is possible for everyone. Inspired by stories of struggle, endurance and perseverance, I consider it an honor to walk alongside individuals on their journey toward growth and healing. I hope my clients feel brave to show up as they are and to begin their change journey.”

Kaitlin believes you are the expert of your own experience. She takes a collaborative approach to treatment, working with clients to identify meaningful goals and develop the skills and tools needed for lasting change. She strives to create a space where clients feel accepted as they are—safe, empowered, and free from judgment—as they explore their experiences and begin to make changes in their lives.

Kaitlin practices from an integrative framework, primarily utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy-informed (DBT-I) techniques to explore the connections between thoughts, emotions and behaviors. She also draws on attachment theory to help clients understand the impact of relational patterns and early experiences. She is committed to meeting clients where they are, welcoming feedback, and adjusting methods to best support each individual’s needs. As each client is in the driver’s seat of their own treatment, Kaitlin offers flexibility and choice in how therapy is approached. This may include a mix of talk therapy, creative expression (such as art or journaling), multimedia resources (books, videos, podcasts), and structured tools such as worksheets.

Kaitlin is a limited license clinical therapist at Pine Rest and is currently working toward her Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) certification. She began her journey at Pine Rest in 2017 as a Recreational Therapist on the inpatient units, a role she held until January 2025. After earning her master’s degree in Social Work, she transitioned into the role of Assessment and Referral Clinician in Pine Rest’s contact center before moving into outpatient therapy.

Kaitlin earned her bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Central Michigan University and her master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Montana.

Kaitlin Bell participates in the Diversity Collective.
