Julie Golin joined Pine Rest in 2022 as a Limited License Psychologist with over 18 years of experience. Julie completed both her undergraduate and master’s degrees at Western Michigan University. She has a Bachelor’s in Science and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology.
Julie specializes in anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, marital/relationship issues and trauma related issues. She also has a history of working with grief and loss, co-occurring issues, and self-esteem/body image issues.
Julie’s approach to the therapeutic relationship is using evidenced based interventions, combined with meeting the person where he or she is at while forming a trusting relationship. Julie utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, motivational interviewing and mindfulness. She feels within therapy it is important to have compassion, empathy, open mindedness and mutual respect.
