“Helping people work through their problems, overcome obstacles and employ coping strategies so they can live their best lives brings me joy. I like to help others process events of the past so that they can see how it affects their present and find healing, meaning and purpose for the future.”
Judy is passionate about providing a safe, non-judgmental environment for people where they feel seen, heard and validated. Her easy-going style allows individuals to work through their issues in a comfortable way, while her focus on education and skill-building allows for immediate wins as well.
Therapy sessions with Judy may involve developing coping strategies for intense or difficult emotions, processing the past, processing current situational stress, exploring and modifying thought and behavior patterns, and learning to be more flexible in one’s thinking. She is trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing.
Judy is a fully licensed professional counselor. She has provided outpatient therapy services since 2006 when she earned her Master of Arts degree in Professional Counseling from Ambridge University.
