Joshua Kupke is a Limited License Social Worker at the Pine Rest Holland Clinic, working with ages 18+.
Joshua has extensive multicultural and multigenerational expertise walking alongside individuals, families and groups, helping them navigate a wide array of life challenges. He integrates a combination of systems-theory, solution-focused, CBT, DBT, and motivational-interviewing therapeutic approaches. He utilizes personality frameworks, such as the Enneagram, to enhance self-awareness, tailor therapies, improve communication, guide personal growth, and support behavior change. His approach is both compassionate and challenging, incorporating humor to create a positive, grace-filled and engaging therapeutic environment. He strives to provide an inclusive, safe space for clients to start (or continue) the process of “falling apart” as they journey toward rebuilding.
Joshua earned his bachelor’s in philosophy from Purdue University and, after a decade of working internationally and domestically with children and their family systems, he earned his Master of Social Work (MSW) from Indiana University. Most recently, Joshua worked in Pine Rest’s Adult Partial Hospitalization Program, where he helped patients reach mental health stabilization through teaching classes, leading group sessions and guiding individual therapy sessions.
