Jennifer believes that all areas of life affect mental health. She takes a whole person approach that is supportive and strength based. Therapy with Jennifer is a mix of warmth, encouragement and challenges to help you grow. She truly believes that healing happens in a safe space where clients feel heard and valued.
Jennifer is a compassionate and dedicated Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC) with a deep passion for helping others navigate life’s challenges. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Western Michigan University and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University. In addition, she has earned a certificate from Yale University in the Science of Well Being. She is also a certified Health, Life and Career Coach, and received training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples.
But beyond the credentials, what truly matters to Jennifer is connecting with people and helping them grow. Since 2004, she’s worked with children, teens, adults, couples, and families facing a variety of struggles in a variety of roles—anxiety, depression, chronic illness (she’s a breast cancer survivor), divorce, parenting challenges, social anxiety, couples counseling and more. Sessions with Jennifer often incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), but most importantly, she tailors therapy to you—your needs, your goals, your journey.
