Jenny is a Licensed Clinical Counselor. She received a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Cornerstone University. She is a compassionate advocate for mental health and healing, equipping individuals with valuable coping skills, and empowering them to recognize their own strengths and make positive life changes.
Jenny has been working with children and families since 2003. Her clinical experience includes facilitating court ordered treatment to inmates, conducting adolescent groups, developing life skills support groups for schools and teens, educating and supporting parents on parenting issues, individual treatment therapy, and counsels in local schools. She has additional training in child therapy and relationship abuse.
Jenny works with individuals ages 4 – 65 on a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, shame, overcoming your inner critic, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, trauma, adjustment disorders, confidence and self-esteem, stress management, parenting and child issues, ADHD, and dealing with life changes. She practices a person-centered approach and uses solution-focused cognitive behavioral therapy techniques, play therapy techniques, psychodynamic approaches, and acceptance and commitment therapy.
Jenny is a certified trainer in the Nurtured Heart Approach® (NHA). She holds 6-week parenting sessions at the Pine Rest Caledonia Clinic several times throughout the year. She also leads the Adolescent Healthy Living Groups for Pine Rest.
