Jenna is a Licensed Master Social Worker and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s of Social Work at Grand Valley State University. Following graduation, Jenna worked as a Master level therapist at Arbor Circle in Allegan County, Michigan. She implemented the first ever Women’s Re-entry Program within the Allegan County Jail, providing individual therapy, group therapy and case management services to women both incarcerated and within the community. Following her 3 years at Arbor Circle, Jenna worked as an Outpatient Therapist at OnPoint, formerly Allegan Community Mental Health. While employed with OnPoint, she served clients suffering from both mental health and substance use disorders, providing individual and group therapy, as well as started OnPoint’s first Intensive Outpatient Program.
Jenna has experience in treating substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, bipolar, trauma, stress and anger management, as well as other diagnoses. She has experience working with adolescents, adults and older adults. Her main therapy modalities include Cognitive Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Psychoeducation, and other person-centered interventions.
Jenna uses a strength-based, person-centered approach to develop a therapeutic rapport to best serve her clients. Her mission is to help her clients know their worth, find purpose in their lives and attain the goals they strive for.
