My passion for therapy comes from a lifelong belief that everyone deserves a safe, supportive and judgment-free environment to heal, process and see themselves more clearly. Through my work, I strive to ensure that young people feel they can be open, honest and expressive despite life’s challenges. It is a privilege to be considered as someone a young person can trust and turn to in difficult moments. My hope is that everyone I work with leaves feeling more secure and confident within themselves.
Jenna believes in creating a comfortable, positive and relaxed therapy space where children feel safe, calm and fully present. She enjoys incorporating a child’s interests—such as music, art, games or crafts—whenever possible. Jenna feels strongly that when children make efforts to improve their mental health, those efforts should be honored by ensuring they feel like active participants in decision-making.
Jenna utilizes a combination of evidence-based models to provide individualized care that acknowledges each person’s uniqueness. Her practice includes trauma-informed psychodynamic therapy, self-esteem skill-building, play therapy, mindfulness, emotional and nervous system regulation strategies, grounding techniques for daily living, and an empowerment/strengths-based approach for a client-centered experience. She is an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist and believes all people should be able to participate in therapy as their most authentic selves without shame.
Jenna is a Licensed Master Social Worker-Clinical (LMSW) working with ages 8 – 18 at the Pine Rest Treetops Clinic.
