“My passion has always been helping others feel supported and understood. Walking alongside children and families through life’s challenges has become the most meaningful and rewarding part of my work as a therapist. Even early on, I knew I wanted to be the kind of person others could count on when things felt overwhelming. That passion led me to the field of social work, where I combine warmth, creativity and clinical expertise to support clients in building resilience and finding hope.”
Before becoming a therapist, Jacklyn dreamed of being a singer and even worked as a character performer at Walt Disney World. She carries that same spirit of playfulness and connection into her sessions, creating a space where therapy feels safe, engaging and meaningful. Whether through skill-building, reflection or even a bit of humor, Jacklyn helps clients tap into their strengths and discover new ways forward.
Jacklyn works primarily with ages 4 – 20. She strives to make people of all ages feel seen, supported and understood. She offers a collaborative, goal-oriented approach that centers what’s most important to each client. She believes therapy should feel empowering, a place where people of all ages can build self-compassion, strengthen relationships, and practice tools that make life feel more manageable.
Clinically, Jacklyn draws from a range of evidence-based practices tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. She is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and integrates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills into her sessions. She also provides trauma-informed parenting support and works with clients navigating substance use challenges, holding certification as an Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC-DP).
Jacklyn earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Aquinas College and her master’s degree in social work from Western Michigan University. Her experience spans both clinical and community-based settings, always with a focus on helping people build resilience, develop healthy coping strategies, and move forward with confidence.
