Dr. Burkhart received a Master of Applied Science at the University of Waterloo and his doctorate degree (PhD) at the University of Windsor in Human Clinical Neuropsychology. He completed internships at the Montreal Neurological Institute and at Henry Ford Hospital in Neuropsychology. He is Board Certified in Clinical Neuropsychology with the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP).
Presently, he serves as the Chair of the Psychology Department at Pine Rest. His current clinical and research interests include the effect various medical conditions have on higher cognitive functions (including Parkinson’s, Epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, and other neurological conditions).
