Gary is a Licensed Master in Social Work. Gary has been with Pine Rest since August 2007. He brings with him a diverse background. He has helped people manage life changing medical ailments such as diabetes and cancer. Gary has also worked in case management helping people and families with schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorder, and much more.
Gary has extensive experience working with people who struggle with anxiety, depression, anger issues, grief, domestic violence, and adjusting to different life changes.
A specialty area is helping people work through post traumatic stress disorder. People who have suffered through verbal, physical, sexual, or emotional abuse, have been involved in war, or had other trauma such as a car accident have benefited greatly from working with Gary.
Gary is able to effectively help teens, parents of teens, adults, men with anger issues, women who have been in difficult relationships, and more. Gary has been fully trained in Dialectic Behavior Therapy and worked as a DBT therapist for more than 10 years.
