Eric’s therapeutic approach is rooted in collaboration, guiding clients toward their personal goals while offering tools and strategies to move forward with confidence. He works with clients facing a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, anger, stress, relationship struggles, grief, and spiritual issues. His sessions are goal-oriented, ensuring each client can actively work toward positive transformation.
Drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities, Eric frequently integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-informed practices, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Emotion-Focused Therapy for Couples (EFT). Additionally, he offers faith-based counseling for clients seeking spiritual integration in their healing process.
Eric has extensive experience working with adults, couples, families and youth. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Trinity College and a Master of Arts in Counseling/Psychology from Trinity International University. Eric is a Licensed Professional Counselor in both Michigan (LPC) and Illinois (LCPC), and currently serves as Clinic Manager at the Pine Rest Zeeland Clinic.
