Emily Cooper has been a licensed professional counselor since 2013. She grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan and completed her undergraduate education at Calvin College in Grand Rapids. She then moved to Denver to pursuing her master’s degree. Emily graduated from the University of Denver with a MA in Forensic Psychology.
Emily has a passion for working with those in the criminal justice system and worked in a county jail from 2013-2019. During that time she also worked in the hospital setting. In both of those experiences, Emily’s focus was on helping individuals reintegrate into the community and setting up appropriate behavioral health services to support success. Suicide prevention has been a major focus of her work
Emily’s professional experience includes working with adolescents, adults and families within a therapy setting. She enjoys working with those dealing with depression, anxiety, psychosis, life changes, and family issues.
