“We don’t operate in the world as the world is but as we perceive it to be. I believe choice is a powerful, essential and sacred aspect of being human. Unfortunately, so many of us are inhibited from choice and freedom because of our trauma. As a therapist, I work to identify the source(s) of distress, overcome trauma, and help you learn to make healthy and effective choices that promote freedom and growth.”
David views therapy as a collaborative process where the patient(s) and therapist explore the patient’s life, without judgement, to identify and overcome any sources of distress. David values curiosity, compassion, warmth and humor. Patients who work with David can expect to feel heard, seen, accepted, and validated for their lived experience.
David weaves Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Existential, and Psychodynamic concepts in an interpersonal manner to help clients identify areas of distress in their life and learn the skills to lead a fulfilling life.
