“I believe strongly in the wise words of Fred Rogers: ‘Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable.’ The challenges that bring individuals to therapy can often feel overwhelming, but I view these struggles as opportunities for growth and healing. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where all experiences, no matter how difficult, can be shared and explored. By giving voice to what’s on one’s mind and heart, transformation and personal development can begin.”
Dan’s approach is centered on validation and introspection—meeting each individual where they are, without judgment, and helping them explore their thoughts, emotions and behaviors. This allows clients to build effective skills and cultivate self-determination in navigating life’s challenges. Dan aims to challenge clients in new ways—whether it’s uncovering limiting beliefs, developing healthier coping strategies, or discovering strengths they haven’t yet recognized. By creating a safe and supportive environment, Dan empowers clients to create meaningful change in their lives and move toward personal goals.
With expertise in a variety of therapeutic modalities—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and Motivational Interviewing— Dan tailors his approach to meet the unique needs and goals of each client. Using these evidence-based methods, Dan works with clients to broaden their resources, build effective coping strategies, and empower them to face the challenges of life with resilience and clarity.
