“It is my firm belief that we all hold the power of healing from the inside out. I am profoundly passionate about exploring and validating our inherent humanness in therapy services. My motivation as a clinical therapist comes from the belief that understanding and accepting ourselves more fully on an intuitive level allows us to flourish in truly meaningful ways. I aim to support individuals in uncovering their strengths and becoming their most authentic selves while building a life worth living, a life they can be proud of–all while navigating the natural waves and inevitable challenges this life throws at us. It is my mission to help others create a path forward that fosters growth, resilience and genuine emotional well-being while also making sure to leave room for enjoying the glimmers of life where we may find peace and healing.”

When working with Chelsea, you can expect a warm, down-to-earth, nurturing environment that promotes mindfulness, balance and cultivation of awareness. Together, you’ll explore how you arrived at your current place in life while also focusing on how to learn, grow and make meaningful progress toward your treatment goals.  Chelsea takes a dialectical approach in treatment, balancing acceptance with strategies for change while utilizing evidence-based techniques as well as holistic practices. She will work alongside you with a blend of humor and compassion to create a supportive space where you feel empowered and equipped to move forward with confidence towards your goals with lasting success.

Sessions with Chelsea will be tailored to the individual’s needs and treatment objectives, and will include insight building, examining thought and behavioral patterns, processing past and present events and their impact on functioning, and building the emotional resilience you need to thrive. Sessions will also focus on skills acquisition for managing intense emotions, building and maintaining healthier relationships through interpersonal work, stress management techniques, creating balance and tolerating distress in healthy manners.

Chelsea specializes in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and is also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She utilizes an integrative approach when working with individuals and uses Insight-Oriented, Trauma-Informed and Holistic approaches.

Chelsea is a fully licensed Clinical Social Worker and serves as an important team member of the Pine Rest Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Program. She started at Pine Rest in 2013 as a Case Manager on the CARE team serving individuals in the community and began working as a Licensed Outpatient Therapist at the Pine Rest Northwest Clinic in 2015. She earned both her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work both at Grand Valley State University.
