Cassandra Patterson, LPC, CAADC, NCC
Cassandra is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC), and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She completed her undergraduate studies at Saginaw Valley State University, then went on to complete her Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Michigan University. She also completed a Specialty Program in Alcohol and Drug Abuse (SPADA) at Western Michigan University.
Before coming to Pine Rest, Cassandra worked within the community serving patients with chronic substance use as well as chronic mental illness. She has previous experience working in residential treatment, outpatient treatment and individuals diagnosed with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS).
Cassandra uses several different treatment modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy (SFT) and motivational interviewing. Additional areas of experience include depression, anxiety, co-occurring disorders, trauma, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
