Faith Statement

“In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:6

This was our wedding text when my wife and I married in 1976 and it is a verse that is important to me as I work with clients at Pine Rest. Many of the paths Christians are led in are difficult and at times overwhelming, which leads them to come to Pine Rest to try to find solutions and answers. When the foundation of counseling is God’s infallible word, and if Gods blessing accompanies it, then clients experience the most progress and success.

I attended Christian schools throughout my elementary and high school years, followed by attendance and graduation from Dordt College, a Christian college in Iowa.
