Caitlin’s educational background is in clinical social work and she received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Grand Valley State University. Caitlin has her School Social Work certification and has experience navigating the process of working with schools to advocate for behavior intervention supports, special education services and supports, as well as accommodation plans for children with disabilities.
Caitlin enjoys working with children, adolescents and adults to address ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Anxiety, Depression and PTSD. Her preferred treatment interventions include a strong emphasis on rapport building, cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness and direct skills teaching.
Caitlin was raised in West Michigan and currently lives in the area with her husband, dog and cat. She enjoys reading, hiking and cooking in her spare time. She believes that building a strong relationship with the foundations of trust, honesty and compassion are vital to the therapeutic process
