Bambi LaHaie has over 20 years of experience in human services. She received her Bachelor’s of Social Work from WMU in 1997 and a Master’s in Social Work from GVSU in 1998. She is a LMSW and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Her professional experiences are related to mental health work with infants and parents, children, adolescents, adults, older adults, and substance abuse services. Those she has served have experienced anxiety, depression, self-harm behaviors, difficult behaviors, grief/bereavement, attachment issues, survivors of abuse, chronic pain, aging related issues, substance abuse, and those on the autism spectrum
Bambi uses a variety of therapeutic approaches depending on the client’s needs including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment theory, substance abuse interventions, various parenting techniques, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, strength-based and solution focused techniques. Outside of the clinical setting Bambi enjoys running/hiking, traveling, and spending time with her family and dogs.
