Anna attended Grand Valley State University for her undergraduate degree where she received her BSW in 2014. During the time between her BSW and MSW program, Anna spent time as a case manager working with a variety of populations including working with people that have intellectual and developmental disabilities, substance use disorders, mental health and foster care. She attended Michigan State University for her MSW program and completed her internship at a methadone clinic in Muskegon County. Prior to outpatient therapy at Pine Rest, Anna also worked in the field of Domestic Violence at Safe Haven Ministries.
Anna currently works with mostly adult patients and is part of the LGBTQIA+ and DBT-I treatment groups within Pine Rest. In recent months she has also spent time researching ERP and other modalities for OCD as well. She has training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and is comfortable working with specialty areas including trauma, PTSD, LGBTQ+ issues, domestic/sexual violence, religious trauma, and other anxiety-related disorders.
Anna believes that each person is the expert on their own lives and works collaboratively with people to find solutions to presenting issues.
