Anna attended Grand Valley State University for her undergraduate degree where she received her BSW in 2014. During the time between her BSW and MSW program, Anna spent time as a case manager working with a variety of populations including people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, substance use disorders, mental health and foster care. She attended Michigan State University for her MSW program where she specialized in addictions. Prior to outpatient therapy at Pine Rest, Anna worked in the field of Domestic Violence at Safe Haven Ministries.
Anna currently works with adolescent through adult patients and LGBTQ+ affirming. She has training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and is comfortable working with specialty areas including trauma, PTSD, LGBTQ+ issues, bipolar disorder and codependency.
Anna believes that each person is the expert on their own lives, and works collaboratively with people to find solutions to presenting issues.
