Anita “Anje” Banks is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) who works with clients age 18-99 at the Pine Rest Telehealth Clinic. She graduated from Western Michigan University with a master’s degree in Counselor Education. She also obtained certification in from the Specialty Program in Alcohol and Drug Abuse (SPADA) while studying at Western Michigan University.
Anje has clinical experience working in both residential and outpatient settings. Her specialty areas include depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder, stress management, grief and loss, self-esteem, coping with life transitions, substance use disorders, pornography and sex addiction and trauma from sexual assault and domestic violence.
Anje appreciates the opportunity to partner with clients on their journey of self-exploration, growth and healing. She utilizes cognitive behavioral, person centered, and strengths-based approaches to therapy. Anje believes in meeting the client where they are, and that the therapeutic relationship should be collaborative and empowering.
