Angelique is a clinical social worker at Pine Rest’s Telehealth Clinic. She completed both her undergraduate and master’s programs at the University of North Dakota. After graduating in 2010, she began her career as an inpatient therapist. She then worked as an outpatient therapist at a community mental health center until she moved to Grand Rapids in 2016. She was a therapist on Pine Rest’s Community Case Management team until she transferred to Telehealth in 2019.
Angelique currently works with clients age 16+, and her experience lies with individuals coping with chronic mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), personality disorders, and schizophrenia. She also has interest in how individuals meet unmet social needs through the Internet, and how that can manifest as Internet/Gaming Addictions. She has received training in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Angelique believes in taking a strengths-based, non-judgmental and holistic approach to treatment. She feels that each person is exactly where they are supposed to be given their unique experiences in life, and she enjoys working with individuals as they imagine and achieve their personal goals for wellness.
