“Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a nomadic do-gooder, dedicating my time to various nonprofits focused on housing, education, the environment, social support and justice. My desire to work closely with individuals led me to return to school for my master’s degree. I find fulfillment in walking alongside individuals and families as they make adjustments that lead to a more whole, peaceful and empowered life.”

Known for her gentle approach, Amy combines curiosity with a touch of humor and occasional compassionate nudges, creating a supportive and uplifting therapeutic experience. She utilizes a blend of therapeutic approaches, including CBT, trauma-informed care, IFS, and a strong foundation in Client-Centered Therapy. Amy believes in collaborative care, and she values partnership with her clients, fostering a warm and effective therapeutic relationship.

Amy is a Licensed Professional Counselor at the Pine Rest Northeast Clinic. She holds an undergraduate degree in Sociology from GVSU and earned her Master’s degree from CMU.
