Amanda is a fully licensed Social Worker and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor who specializes in substance use and addiction, anger management, depression and anxiety, trauma and family issues. Amanda received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Central Michigan University and her master’s in social work from Loyola University Chicago. She has also received training in animal assisted therapy and trauma focused CBT.
Amanda has been helping clients overcome substance abuse disorders since 2011, with a special focus on opiates and medication assisted therapy, as well as working with court involved adolescents in a detention setting. In addition to substance abuse, Amanda has worked with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, childhood trauma, and has significant experience working with members of the LGBTQ community on various issues, including gender identity.
