“The most rewarding part of my work is walking alongside my patients, supporting them through change, being present when things get tough and cheering them on as they continue to put in the effort. My goal is to build a strong therapeutic relationship where my patients never feel alone in their journey. I strive to provide a safe, empathetic, and comfortable environment—one where individuals can reflect and process.”
Allison takes a collaborative approach, working alongside clients to help them achieve their goals. She enjoys incorporating humor and personal interests—such as books, movies, and sports—to build connection and create a comfortable therapeutic space. She utilizes a variety of treatment models, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy, tailoring her approach to meet each individual’s unique needs.
Working with Allison, clients can expect a thoughtful, collaborative approach to therapy. She utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to help clients reframe negative thoughts and develop healthier coping mechanisms. In addition, Allison incorporates Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) strategies, guiding clients to move beyond black-and-white thinking and embrace the complexity of multiple truths. Allison meets clients where they are, fostering a supportive environment that encourages growth and change. Together, you’ll set achievable goals and regularly review progress to ensure therapy is effective and aligned with your personal needs.
In sessions with Allison, clients will work to gain insights into their thoughts and behaviors, while developing effective coping strategies for managing stress and anxiety. Sessions often involve a mix of reflective exercises, practical strategies, and open discussion that can be applied in daily life. Sometimes, the focus will simply be on whatever is present for the client that day, and that is always welcomed in a supportive, flexible environment
