Alan is a Limited Licensed Psychologist who graduated from Western Michigan University with a Master’s in Counseling Psychology and a Bachelors in Family Studies. He joined Pine Rest in 2022, bringing a background of working with children, adolescents and adults for over twenty years. His clinical experience includes outpatient, intensive homebased services, crisis services and residential. His primary treatment modality is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Alan’s clinical interests are anxiety disorders: social anxiety, panic attacks, generalized anxiety, depression, mood disorders and anger management. He enjoys working with children and adolescents in the following areas, ADHD, autism spectrum, childhood behavior problems, child disruptive mood, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), conduct disorder, and parenting issues. One of his areas of special interest is autism spectrum disorder and developmental delays. In addition, he has an interest working with our veterans, as Alan is a veteran the US Air Force.
