Adam Swendroski is an LMSW, Licensed Master’s Social Worker working with clients age 16-50 at the Pine Rest Christian Counseling Center. A Grand Rapids native, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Biopsychology at Grand Valley State University in 2016. He went on to earn his MSW from the University of Michigan in December 2018. Adam joined Pine Rest in 2019, working with patients of all ages as an intake clinician for the partial and inpatient hospitalization programs as well as the Psychiatric Urgent Care Center. In October 2021, he moved to Christian Counseling Center in Northeast Grand Rapids to work as an outpatient therapist.
Adam strongly believes that mental health care is just as important as any other form of health care. He takes pride in promoting that mental health care is an ongoing journey and to maintain proper health requires not only ongoing personal investment, but also positive support from family and friends as well as a well-rounded treatment team in the community. Adam’s clinical interests include the treatment of mood disorders (depression/bipolar) as well as anxiety in adolescents and adults. He strives to provide a supportive environment for both clients and their families in the Grand Rapids area.
Adam enjoys spending time camping, travelling, and “Jeeping” with his family and friends. He loves watching and attending sporting and music events as they provide a fun outlet and a sense of community.
