in a traditional hospital setting.

Program Criteria
To be admitted to this inpatient program, the senior would be in an
acute crisis related to both psychiatric distress and a significant
medical condition, requiring
immediate services. They may have a clear intent to harm or in imminent danger
to themselves or others and be experiencing hallucinations, paranoid thinking,
suicidal ideation, or be intentionally hurting themselves. Staff can meet
a level of medical need that requires 24-hour professional medical
care or ability
to
handle communicable disease requiring isolation. Clients in this program
would receive comprehensive assessment and medication adjustment
for both their psychiatric
and medical conditions.
