Welcome to the VAC, Adult Units of
Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services

Our primary concern is the well-being of the patient. Here are a few guidelines to ensure your visit will be pleasant for you, the person you are visiting, and our other patients.

Visiting Hours

Monday – Friday: 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Weekends & Holidays: 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Visiting will take place in in the main lounges only. Visiting should not occur in patient rooms or the courtyard.

Visitors must be 10 years of age or older to visit on the unit. If there is a clinical reason a child under the age of 10 must visit, the RN in charge will make that determination. These visits will occur off the main unit in a consultation room.

Visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied to the unit by a responsible adult. Children may not just be dropped off on the unit.

Clergy and attorneys may visit at any time during the day orevening.

Visitors will be asked to sign in when they visit to help us monitor who is on the unit for patient and visitor safety in case of fire or severe weather. Due to limited space, along with safety concerns, we ask that visitors be limited to no more than 2 adults at a time.

Any items brought to patients will be checked by staff. Wellmeaning people sometimes bring in items that could be harmful or compromise the safety of others. We reserve the right to withhold such items.

For the health of our patients, staff and visitors, Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services is a Tobacco Free Environment, both indoors and outdoors, beginning July 1, 2008. This applies to all Pine Rest property and all service locations, and is applicable to all staff, visitors, and patients.
