Mission, Vision, and Values Statements

MISSION
As a program of Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services, the Center for Psychiatric Residential Services is called to express the ministry of Jesus Christ by providing compassionate psychiatric residential care for adolescents. Services provided will maximize functioning, enhance the quality of life, and empower residents through professional excellence, compassion, love, and spiritual growth.

VISION
Pine Rest Center for Psychiatric Residential Services (CPRS) will be a distinctly Christian, innovative center of excellence committed to the highest quality care. The services provided will aspire to the highest ethical standards for compassionate residential care through a highly trained, professional staff encouraged to develop their distinctive care giving skills and abilities. Pine Rest CPRS will collaborate with the community and similar mission driven organizations. Pine Rest CPRS will strive to become a national center of excellence through support of clinical research and training.

VALUES
As the Pine Rest community, the foundation of all we do is to express Christ’s love and compassion to those with whom we work and serve. Therefore we value:

A. Integrity: We clearly demonstrate moral and ethical principles in all we do.
B. Excellence: We commit ourselves to offer distinctive, quality services and to continually look for ways to improve.
C. Stewardship: We dedicate ourselves to the careful use of resources – ours and those whom we serve.
D. Diversity: We respect the distinctive qualities of each individual
E. Empowerment: We encourage and entrust staff and those we serve to participate in decision-making.

MODEL OF CARE
The teenagers we care for have a complexity of psychiatric and behavioral problems. At the Center for Psychiatric Residential Services (CPRS) we are developing a Trauma Sensitive/Informed Model of Care as a means to bring healing to the residents we serve. The name of our model is C.H.O.I.C.E.S.
