The Pre-Doctoral Psychology Internship is designed to train interns in the Practitioner-Scholar model, with an emphasis on integrating personal faith with sound clinical practice. The internship is set up to provide a breadth of training experiences: outpatient, inpatient, residential, and community outreach. Training is facilitated through weekly seminars and modules designed to tie experiences together with an integrative focus. |

| Description: | | Interns are accepted on a rolling basis with flexible start and end dates. The internships is unpaid. Pine Rest is a non-profit. The graphic design intern in Pine Rest’s Marketing & Community Relations Department will gain experience working on a variety of advertising, marketing, special event, and community relations projects. The designer will work on print collaterals from concept through production implementation. The graphic design intern will utilize QuarkXPress to design a variety of invitations, newsletters, publications (both print and on-line), flyers, posters, newspaper and magazine advertisements, signage, and more. Other software utilized may include Photoshop, FreeHand, and PageMaker. Plus, we will give students first-hand experience in planning, marketing, hosting, and evaluating a variety of special events both on and off campus, if applicable. Last, we will provide an opportunity to gain a better knowledge of the mental health care industry and trends in this field. For all collaterals developed, interns will receive copies they can use in their job portfolios.

| Description: | | Several positions available. Internship is unpaid. Interns in Pine Rest’s Marketing and Community Relations department will gain experience working on a variety of market research, advertising, marketing, special events, and community relations projects. Interns write copy for press releases, invitations, flyers, newsletter articles, and newspaper advertisements. Students may work on design projects using Quark or comparable computer software. Interns may also gather, analyze, and/or summarize market research data. The Marketing internship will provide an opportunity to gain a better knowledge of the mental health care industry and trends in this field. For all collaterals developed, interns will receive copies they can use in their job portfolios. The Marketing team at Pine Rest is energetic, creative and experienced in working with interns. We welcome the opportunity to offer this valuable service to give students a better understanding of marketing principles and tactics to increase their job knowledge. |
| Qualifications: | | Junior or Senior-level student preferred. Experience using personal computer and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel or equivalent software. Must be outgoing, creative, upbeat, and would blend in well with a very energetic Marketing team at Pine Rest. The individual must be service orientated. |

| Hours: | | Minimum 8 hours a week for 4 months (Fall, Winter, and Summer Semesters) |
| Description: | | Successful applicants become members of the Pine Rest Psychological Consultation Center (PCC) who will conduct a wide variety of psychological assessments and consultations with children, adolescents, & adults. Undergraduate interns will work with clients, administering and scoring testing protocol for those suspected of having Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). This work is supervised through individualized instruction, and interns will be given opportunities to further study areas related to their work with clients.
